Takeaways:
- One of the things the Mock CFP Committee has taken great pride is the ability to recognize Group of Five teams for their accomplishments when warranted.
- Central Florida finished at No. 9 and was rewarded for going 12-0 in the American Athletic Conference, which is arguably the strongest of the Group of Five leagues since the start of the New Year's Six format in the 2014 season.
- The Mock CFP Committee came out with their final Top 25 about an hour before the real rankings and with no surprise, the first six teams were consistent and all six bowl matchups were correct outside of the Fiesta and Cotton Bowl sites switched out.
